Tyler Deriu

My name is Tyler Deriu and I have been a lifetime attender and 12 year member of WPBC. My time at Willowbrook has proven to be my highest joy in this life and has significantly complimented my highest joy in eternal life, our Lord Jesus Christ. With all the gratitude that my heart can muster, I sincerely thank you all for your investments and trust in me, as well as your outpouring of love shown to me every time I step into your presence. Your love for people and for our savior is inspiring.

Currently, I am on a journey that I believe is an obedient response to the Holy Spirit’s call on my life. I am a student at Boyce college and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a BA and M.Div in biblical and theological studies simultaneously through the institution’s 5-year seminary track program; an intensive training program designed to take men of particular character and experience and equip them with the tools that are necessary to effectively extend the gospel to all people. My intention in this is to step into full time and lifetime ministry, serving in whatever capacity the Lord chooses to lead me in, all for the cause of Christ.

Many of you who have experienced the trials of the lifestyle of higher education may know that funding for education is a significant challenge that many students face; I am one of those students facing that very challenge. Unfortunately, federal education benefits are not an option for me to use at SBTS. Because of this, I am looking to raise support for my education beginning in the very local church that has shown me support my entire life.

This is my request to you, that you would help me on this journey by giving what you can in support of this mission. My goal is to raise $4500 for this coming fall semester. Any amount can be used greatly, give as the Lord leads you.
